If you have already been switched to your new long distance carrier, you should hear the names their underlying long distance carriers. Another option for you to know if you have already been switched is to call their toll free number. Long distance carriers usually have 24 hour customer service that you can call to check if you have been placed in their system. You can also check with you local phone company to check who is your current long distance carrier.

There are some instances that it would be better for you to call the 700 number because sometimes you can be in their system but not yet physically hooked up.
