Choosing a Toll Free carrier

There are some things that you need to consider before you decide on which toll free carrier would you like to avail.

  1. Check if most of your toll free calls came from your state or out of the state. Be sure to check on the rates for instate calls or interstate calls since the rates vary in different areas. Make sure that you have found the cheapest rate that is available.
  2. Check if you will be getting most of your toll free calls from a payphone. There is a charge for using a payphone when they make a toll free call to compensate the payphone owners. The amount varies so you also need to inquire about it from the company that you are interested in getting your toll free service.
  3. 3. Do not go with a name or brand of a long distance carrier, they are usually more expensive than small reseller.
  4. Check if they have any agreement that would lock you at the same rate for a year or more. The rates might go lower but you will not be able to avail it since you have an agreement with the long distance company that you will be paying the same rate for a year.
  5. Check if they have monthly fees. Look for a product that has no monthly fee, it will save you money.
  6. What kind of payments options they have available for you, you might want to pay your bills by credit card or check. And also check if the long distance company offers an on line billing, where you can be able to see your bill when you go online.
