How PBX works

If your company or organization has a PBX system all your employees phone are wired to it. When they make a call all they have to do is dial the outside call which is usually the 9 number. The PBX would then connect the phone to an outside line. When an employee wants to be connected to another employee, all they have to do is dial the extension number and the PBX will connect it to their phone.

Example of establishments that has a PBX system is hotels, hospitals and companies that has different department.
